"Deadliest Catch" documents the day-to-day trials and tribulations of working in the Alaskan commercial fishing industry. The series has proved so popular that it even spawned two spin-offs, "Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove" and "Deadliest Catch: Bloodline." 2020’s Season 16 reeled in an average of 2.2 million viewers, increasing 7% over the previous year (as per Pop Culture). Since it first aired in 2005, "Deadliest Catch" has been a huge ratings winner for the Discovery Channel. ![]()
